About Me

WELCOME,

Background

I am from Upper Saddle River New Jersey. Ever since I was a kid technology has always had a huge impact on my life starting with my father. My father was someone who really pushed for my dreams of working in the tech industry. He would always take me to conventions and teach me how to build computers.

My passion furthered when I was in middle school, I learned how to build my first computer.  This was a huge accomplishment for a twelve-year-old that sparked my passion for technology. It was not just successfully building a computer, it was learning how to manipulate the code and change the computer from its factory settings. Because of this, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in this field. I am expecting to graduate from Pennsylvania State University in December with a Telecommunications degree.

Education

I started college by declaring Information System Technology as my major.  This has always been my goal and being able to learn more about this field was a dream come true. I was taking courses like IST 210 which taught me about the infrastructures of networks and coding.

Unfortunately, due to family matters, I could not balance the coursework that the program demanded. This turned my world around making me feel lost and without a clear path on what to do next. I assured myself that this was not going to stop me from following my dream, I looked at all possible majors that were related to working in the tech field, soon enough I landed on Telecommunications. This field was completely foreign to me but, after my first semesters of classes, I knew that I made the right choice.

Work Experience

Over the years I have worked a variety of jobs that have highlighted my unique skill set that extends both in and outside my Telecommunications career. I began working at fifteen starting as a stock clerk and then eventually making my way up to store manager. I was managing employees, planning weekly tastings, and overseeing local deliveries. I was taught how to be a team leader as well as prioritize tasks for the business to run efficiently week to week. My dedication, willingness to learn and loyalty to my company has always been something that I have been proud of and is something that will carry over in my career in Telecommunications. I currently have just interned with Clyde & Co LLP this past summer working within their tech department. I was tasked to run weekly maintenance on the server and to commission and decommission office workstations. I am very happy to say that they have offered me a full-time position to become a part of their team pending my graduation in the fall.
